Data controller

The controller of personal data processed via this website is Michał Białas-Dopieralski, operating as a sole trader in Warsaw, Poland. Contact: hello@interdisciplinary.xyz.

What data is processed and why

• Email correspondence. When you write in, your email address and the contents of your message are processed for the purpose of replying — legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, where applicable, pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Analytics (Google Analytics / Tag Manager). Aggregate, anonymous usage data — page views, navigation paths, device/locale — is collected only after you accept analytics. Legal basis: explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). To withdraw consent, click Decline in the banner the next time it appears (clear the interdisciplinary-xyz:cookie-consent entry in your browser's localStorage and refresh to see the banner again). Declining also clears any _ga / _gid identifiers that were set during a prior "accepted" session.
• Server logs. Standard request logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) are processed by the hosting provider (Vercel) for security and abuse prevention. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Retention

• Email correspondence: kept for as long as needed to handle the inquiry, then for tax/legal recordkeeping (5 years where required by Polish law).
• Analytics data: Google Analytics default retention (currently 14 months) for granular event data; aggregate stats indefinitely.
• Server logs: per Vercel's retention policy (currently ≤30 days).

Recipients and transfers outside the EEA

The site is hosted on Vercel (USA) and uses Google Analytics (USA). Transfers to the United States rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision (2023). No personal data is sold or shared with any other third party.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to: access your data, request correction or deletion, restrict processing, port your data to another controller, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@interdisciplinary.xyz. You can also file a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority (UODO).

Cookies & local storage

Your consent choice is stored in your browser's localStorage (key interdisciplinary-xyz:cookie-consent), not in a cookie. The site itself sets no cookies before consent. Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid, etc.) are set only after you click Accept in the banner, and are explicitly cleared if you later click Decline.

This notice may be updated. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
